Rachel Streeter MBACP, Dip Couns. Dip HYP. BA. (Hons.)
Rachel Streeter is the Director of Calm Farm. She is a qualified Counsellor, Hypnotherapist and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Hypnotherapy Society.Rachel has over ten years experience of working as a mental health practitioner, with specialist experience of bereavement, loss and trauma. She has extensive experience of working with young people with learning disabilities as well as those with challenging behaviour through developing and delivering a wide range of dynamic workshops that encourage social inclusive, creative learning and promote health and well-being.
Rachel also comes from a very creative background with a BA Honours Degree in Music and a Diploma in Performing Arts. She often delivers singing and music workshops for young people and adults as well as combining these skills in her therapeutic approach with children, young people and those with special needs through music, singing, movement and play.
John McCormack MBACP, Adv.Dip. Couns. BSc. (Hons.) Dip THP. Cert. Ed.
John McCormack is the Consultant Senior Therapist at Calm Farm. He is a qualified teacher, a BACP Accredited Counsellor and a qualified hypnotherapist.
John has over twelve years of experience of providing counselling for several specialist organisations, including working with young people, survivors of abuse, to working with addictions and as a treatment manager for a Prison Drug Rehabilitation Programme.
He teaches Counselling and Psychotherapy to Diploma level and provides clinical supervision for practitioners and counselling organisations.
John also delivers various performance training programmes for professionals.
Victoria Fernandes-Mew
Victoria Fernandes-Mew is Project Coordinator and Workshop Facilitator at Calm Farm. She is a qualified CELTA Teacher and Teaching Assistant (Primary & Secondary Schools).
She has an NCFE Level 2 Counselling Skills Certificate and is progressing onto NCFE Level 3 and Counselling Diploma. Her background also covers Marketing within the Travel/Events/Hospitality & Aviation sectors.
(She used to be a Wing-Walker!).
She has gained a wealth of experience from working with young people with learning disabilities as well as those with challenging behaviour.
Cath Gearing Bsc hons Ed, QTS
Cath is a Workshop Facilitator and Entertainer at Calm Farm.
She has extensive experience in the field of educational development, working with a comprehensive range of ages and abilities. She is a qualified teacher and has taught from reception to adults, both with mainstream and special educational needs (including visual and hearing impairments, autistic spectrum disorders, ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia). She incorporates creative, social, physical and cognitive skill development in her delivery of learning experiences. Cath is also a grade 5 musician and has performed in orchestral, choral and amateur dramatic activities as well as singing with young children and adults.
