 Rachel Streeter MBACP, Dip Couns. Dip HYP. Dip P.Arts BA. (Hons.)

Rachel Streeter is the Director of Calm Farm. She is a qualified Counsellor, Hypnotherapist and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Hypnotherapy Society.

Rachel has over ten years experience of working as a mental health practitioner, with specialist experience of bereavement, loss and trauma. She has extensive experience of working with children and young people as well as those with challenging behaviour through developing and delivering a wide range of dynamic workshops that encourage social inclusive, creative learning and promote health and well-being.

Rachel originally comes from a very creative background with broad experience in singing and performing and has acheived a BA Honours Degree in Music and a Diploma in Performing Arts. She has delivered many singing and music workshops for children and young people over the years and has developed a wide range of stimulating music and sensory based programs for young children and those with special needs.

Matt Davey - AIR Coordinator, Youth worker and Workshop facilitator 

Matt is a fully qualified youth and community worker. He has 9 years experience of managing projects, managing staff teams, working in the field of outreach/detached work, supporting parents and children and working with a range stakeholders/partners within Children's Services, East Sussex County Council. He has a very high sucess rate and specialises in working with the hard to reach and challenging young people. He has worked with young people in one to one situations and group work. He has managed successful teams and has won many awards for the achievements of these teams.

Matt is the founder of AIR and is the senior facilitator for all sports inclusion activities with children and young people.

 

Naomi Friedlander - Entertainer and Workshop facilitator

Naomi Friedlander is a Freelance Dance Artist, Teacher & Choreographer with over ten years experience in a range of professional, educational and community settings. Naomi has a 1st class BA Honours in Dance Studies and is particularly interested in the link between dance and raising self-esteem. Naomi specialises in Contemporary Dance and working with hard to reach young people.

She has delivered many health and wellbeing workshops for vulnerable young people and uses her creative background and experience to engage and inspire her groups.

 

Debra Cheesman - Baby and toddler music group leader

Debra is a qualified nursery nurse and has over 10 years experience working in various early years settings. She began working for the Family Outreach Service within the Children's Centres in 2008. She has facilitated many parent and child groups including baby massage, baby signing, parenting and music groups as well as providing one to one support to families with children up to the age of 5 years. Debra is the lead facilitator for Calm Farm's Baby & toddler musical sensory groups in our St Leonards. Please check the relevant webpage for more information.


 

Toni Gardner - Creative Practitioner, Entertainer and Workshop facilitator

Toni has been working therapeutically with adults and children for 11 years. She is a qualified Learning Mentor and a has worked as a Family therapy worker running parenting skills workshops.Toni has co-ordinated, directed and participated in interactive drama workshops and plays in various schools, pupil referral unit's, detention centres, prisons, rehabilitation clinics and refuges nationwide. These workshops have covered challenging topics such as 'Dealing with domestic violence, Self esteem and confidence building, Substance misuse and addiction, Anger management, Coping with abuse, Youth crime and Self destructive behaviour.

Jonathan Cann - Entertainer

Jonathan has directed locally for Worthing Light Opera Company(Gigi), Act Too(Cabaret) in which he also played the Emcee, HHOS(Blitz! & 42nd Street - both Mid-Sussex Times Best Musical Award winners.), BHMTS(Scrooge!) and Ditchling Players(Daisy Pulls it Off). He is passionate about pantomime and has worked professionally as the villain and also played Dame in three productions for the Ditchling Players. Jonathan is a full time entertainer,appearing at lots of children's parties and family events, performing Magic and Punch & Judy and was the first member to serve two terms as President of the South Downs Magicians. In addition to his performance work, Jonathan offers workshops in Drama, Balloon Modelling and Stage Fighting. www.jonathancann.co.uk


Leo Sedgley - Workshop facilitator

Leo is a qualified teacher and has undergone counselling training at Brighton University in Therapeutic Alliance & Person Centred Counselling. This training has enabled him to focus his expertise with young people with emotional difficulties and challenging behaviour. He has had years of experience teaching and delivering various health and well-being workshops across all key stages and often uses his background in theatre and stand up comedy to engage certain groups who are hard to reach. Leo is currently delivering health and well-being workshops for Calm Farm covering many topics such as, drugs and alcohol, teenage pregnancies, boys peer pressure and stereo types and many more.

Amanda Shaw - Singing group facilitator

Amanda has experience of running various music workshops and music sessions for young people in youth clubs as well as music sessions for elderly in care homes. She has a BA Honours Degree in Professional Musicianship, specializing in vocal performance and a Foundation Degree in Music Production.

Calm Farm Therapists

Su Kennedy - MBACP, Dip Couns, Accredited Drug And Alcohol Counsellor.

Su is a qualified Counsellor and an accredited drug and alcohol counsellor. Su gained her experience of alcohol counselling, while working for over 3 years for an agency providing counselling to clients with alcohol addiction, as well as counselling significant others of clients with alcohol addiction.   Whilst working for the agency she also achieved her qualification as an accredited drug and alcohol counsellor. Su is also experienced in providing counselling for clients with a wide range of presenting issues.


Stephanie Chamberlain - Dip. Hyp, Dip. CP, Ad. Dip. CP (LHS, MCS Acc)

 Stephanie offers, Counselling, Hypnotherapy and Personal Development. Some of the areas she specialises in are Stress & Anxiety Management, Depression, Confidence/Self-Esteem, Relationships, Performance Enhancement (stage, sports, etc), Grief/Loss/Bereavement, Past Childhood Abuse (managing effects), Anger & Frustration Management, Negative Body Image, Personal Growth & Development. She also helps with many different addictions through using hypnotherapy.
