Counselling in Bexhill, Hastings and East Sussex

Calm Farm Therapies offers counselling services in the Bexhill, Hastings and East Sussex areas. We have a network of fully qualified male and female counsellors on our team, all whom are members of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, BACP. The counsellors each have specialist experience of working with children, young people and adults. We run a rapid response service at Calm Farm and will make sure a counsellor can see you for your first initial assessment within one week.

How can counselling help you?

Counselling for adults can help you explore and work through many different issues such as relationships issues, bereavement, problems at work or college, stress, anxiety, depression, coping with traumatic experiences, abuse, bullying, sexual problems, addictions, managing emotional or physical pain, loneliness & isolation, confidence problems and many more. It is a process where you (the client) can talk in confidence about issues that are concerning you, with the skilled attention of a counsellor, in a safe supportive environment.

We offer short and longer term one to one counselling which is available on a sliding scale of fees, depending on affordability. Please contact us to book an initial appointment.


Counselling for children & young people

We aim to help children and young people achieve in their lives, gain a greater sense of well-being and to work through personal difficulties that may be holding them back.

Our skilled therapists can work with the child or young person individually or provide therapy for the family. She/he will use a range of different therapeutic methods to engage children and young people and help them to open up in a safe and confidential environment. Employee Assistance Programme 

Our team of counsellors can also be available to support professionals in their place of work or within our private clinical practice.
Calm Farm's counselling service will help employees manage personal and work related issues which can increase efficiency and commitment, reduce costs due to stress and absence and improve overall business performance. Calm Farm can also benefit managers and staff through access to our training and consultancy program in the areas of employee relations, customer services, human resources and other management concerns.

Clinical supervision

Clinical supervision is available for organisations and individual practitioners by an accredited member of the BACP.

How much does counselling cost?

Individual adult counselling is £30 per session and reduced rates are available for people on a low income.

Family or child therapy is £40 - 50 per session.

The first initial consultation is £10.

Confidentiality

Everything you discuss with your therapist will be kept confidential. Written notes will be stored securely and name protected for anonymity. There are however certain legal exceptions with regard to confidentiality (e.g. Child Protection or criminal activity) or where there is risk of serious physical harm to yourself or another (if possible this will be discussed with you before taking any action). Matters of confidentiality will be clarified with you prior to the establishment of any agreed contract for working. 

Safe & Ethical practice

The therapists adhere to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, Ethical Framework for Good practice. This can be viewed at BACP. The therapists attend regular monthly supervision to maintain professional standards, review practice and reflect on their work in confidence.
